Police Log: Pedestrian Struck on Montvale Avenue, Rash of Vehicle B&Es

Pedestrian Struck on Montvale Avenue

At 6:05 p.m. Dec. 7, Stoneham Police responded to Montvale Avenue for a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Lifeline EMS responded to the scene, and the victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to Lahey Clinic in Burlington, according to police. Police later responded to Lahey Clinic for an interview. A report was filed.

Rash of Vehicle Break-Ins

Several motor vehicle break-ins were reported on Dec. 7, including ones on Endicott Road, Lawndale Road and Collincote Street. At 2:47 a.m., police responded to Endicott Road on a report of two breaking and entering into vehicles in the area. Police filed a report.

At 6:18 a.m., police were called to Lawndale Road for a report of a past breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. Police filed a report.

At 10 a.m., police responded to Collincote Street on a report of two vehicles that were broken into overnight. Police filed a report. At 11:02 a.m., police responded to Collincote Street for a report a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. The caller reported loose change stolen from a vehicle's glove box, according to police. Police filed a report.

At 1:27 p.m., a person visited the Police Station to report a breaking and entering into a vehicle sometime overnight. Police filed a report.

Dec. 7

10:17 a.m.: Police called to Main Street for a report of a two-car crash. One vehicle was towed from the scene, according to police. One person was transported to Winchester Hospital, according to police.

5:32 p.m.: Police called to the area of Main and South Streets on a report of a motor vehicle accident. State Police handled the scene. 

6:27 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Main and Maple Streets for a report of a road rage incident. An officer spoke to both drivers and sent them on their way, according to police. 

7 p.m.: Police called to the area of Pleasant and Spring Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash. No injuries or tows logged.

7:25 p.m.: Police responded to Hancock Street for a report of a past hit-and-run incident. Police filed a report.

Dec. 8

10:21 a.m.: Police called to Bancroft Place for a report of vandalism. A woman reported hearing a loud noise at about 3:30 a.m., according to police. She later discovered a rock had been thrown through her upstairs bedroom window, according to police. Police filed a report.

2:09 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Hancock and Main Streets on a report of a two-car crash. One vehicle was towed from the scene, accorrding to police. Two people refused medical transport, according to police. An elderly woman was driven to her residence, police noted.

9:46 p.m.: Police called to Lincoln Street on a report of a vehicle leaking gas. The driver allegedly hit a rock in the roadway, causing the car to leak gas, according to police. 

Dec. 9

2:09 a.m.: Police called to Pond Street for a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle struck a pole, and "heavy entrapment" was reported by police. No transports logged.

7:26 a.m.: Police responded to the Ninety-Nine Restaurant for a report of a hit-and-run incident. The caller reported hit-and-run damage to a bench, according to police. Police filed a report.

10:02 a.m.: Police called to the area of Main and South Streets for a report of a two-vehicle accident. The accident involved a truck and a car, according to police. State Police handled the scene. No tows or transports logged.

2:46 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Ravine and Woodland Roads for a report of a Green Madza on fire. Engine 3 reported a fully involved vehicle fire, according to police. State Police notified

Dec. 10

1:34 a.m.: Police received a call from Billerica Police about the recovery of a stolen vehicle. A tow truck responded to Billerica Police Station to collect the stolen vehicle, according to police. Police filed a report.
