Police Log: Officers Respond to Vandalism Call at East School Field

At 6:55 p.m. Sept. 1, Stoneham Police responded to the East School field on Beacon Street for a report of vandalism. The caller reported kids tearing down an advertising sign on the fence, according to police. The sign was put back up.

@9:44 a.m.: Police responded to the area of Congress Street and Winthrop Street for a report of a dead skunk in the roadway. DPW notified.
@2:52 p.m.: Police called to Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash. One person declined medical treatment.

Sept. 2
@8:28 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Charles Street and Spring Street on a report of an out of control fire outdoors. Charles Street residents extinguished the fire, according to police.
@6:37 p.m.: Police called to Cherry Avenue for a report of possibly rabid skunk. The skunk didn't appear to be aggressive and was moved into the woods, according to police.
Sept. 3
@6:43 a.m.: Police responded to Main Street for a report of a past breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. The victim claims a window on his vehicle was broken sometime overnight. Police filed a report.
Sept. 4
@2:27 p.m.: Police called to Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury. One person was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, and one vehicle was towed, according to police.
