POLICE LOG: Officers Investigate Nighttime Breaking & Entering Incident on Main Street

At 11:18 p.m. Aug. 15, Stoneham police responded to a Main Street home for a report of a possible breaking and entering in progress. The residents were inside the home at the time of the break in, according to police. Billerica's K9 team was called in to assist with the search. Suspect could not be located. Police to file a report.

@8:39 a.m.: Police called to the area of Spring and Green Streets for a report of a vehicular hit-and-run incident. A vehicle with Massachusetts plates hit another vehicle from behind and then fled the area, according to police. Police responded to Governor Road in attempt to track down suspect vehicle and driver. Police were unable to locate the vehicle. Police to file a report.

@9:14 a.m.: Police called to South Street for a report of unauthorized use of the victim's debit card out of the country. No follow-up by police, as the call was made for documentation purposes only.

@5:46 p.m.: Police responded to a Franklin Street apartment on a report of a larceny. The caller reported a Dell Inspirion laptop was missing from her door after it was delivered by FedEx Aug. 15. Value of the laptop was $700.
