POLICE LOG: Stoneham Officers Track Down Vehicle Allegedly Involved in Multiple Hit-And-Run Accidents

At 11:02 p.m. Aug. 17, Stoneham police responded to Main Street for a report of a hit-and-run incident. A 911 caller reported a hit-and-run in front of Walgreens. The suspect vehicle allegedly crossed over the center line and struck another vehicle head-on.
Meanwhile, multiple 911 callers reported a second accident on Elm Street allegedly involving the same vehicle as with the first hit-and-run report. DPW notified about a hydrant struck on Elm Street. The vehicle finally came to a rest on a utility pole. An ambulance transported the suspect to Lahey Clinic. No arrests were reported.

Aug. 17
@11:29 a.m.: Police called to Seward Road on a report of a hypodermic needle found across. An officer picked it up and disposd of it properly.

@11:42 a.m.: Police responded to Peabody Road for a report of a larceny. The woman claimed her son's bike ws stolen. A report was taken.
@1:43 p.m.: Police responded to Woodland Road complex for a report of elevator entrapment. Several people were stuck in the elevator on the fourth floor, according to police. The people were out of the elevator a short time later, and one bank of elevators was shut down while the other one was operational.
@4:12 p.m.: Police called to Citation Avenue on a report of a past breaking and entering. The man claims his CDs were taken from his vehicle.
@5:05 p.m.: Police called to Central Street for a report of a hit-and-run incident. The caller told police his vehicle was hit while parked on the street. Police to file a report.
