Stoneham Police are investigating a single-car crash into a utility pole that occurred Monday morning on Forest Street.
At 9:25 a.m. Dec. 10, police and fire responded to the area of 53 Forest Street for a report of a car that crashed into a utility pole.
A man driving a silver 2006 Infinity G35 crashed into a NSTAR pole, according to police. The car sustained front-end damage, while the pole was splintered at its base.
"One person was transported to the Lahey Clinic (in Burlington) by ambulance," Police Chief Jim McIntyre said in an email to Stoneham Patch Tuesday, adding that the driver suffered "non-life threatening injuries."
Police are investigating the incident and declined to comment as to whether alcohol, speed or texting played a role in the crash. No arrest was made, according to police.
"Officers remained on-scene for 30 minutes," McIntyre said. "A detail officer arrived and worked with NSTAR the rest of the day while the pole was repaired."
