Foxborough police arrested a Hyde Park man Monday night after he allegedly stabbed another man in the bar area of Fusion 5 at 105 Washington St., according to Foxborough Chief of Police Edward O’Leary.
“Officers responded to [the scene to] investigate and the victim was located in the kitchen [of Fusion 5],” O’Leary said.
Police received a call around 11:30 p.m. Monday reporting the stabbing as “a slashing to the face with a knife,” according to scanner reports. O’Leary said officer Mark Bohnenberger located the man at “about 11:37 p.m.”
The suspect, Grant A. Phillips, 30, of Hyde Park, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife), assault and battery and disorderly conduct, according to O’Leary.
The victim, a Walpole man, was transported to Norwood Hospital for medical treatment. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time but police believe the man suffered wounds to his face.
Phillips was arraigned in Wrentham District Court Tuesday morning.
