Local Man Arrested in Brookline
Police allege that Nilton Pechejosvski didn't have a driver's license.
A local man was arrested on a driving charge last month in Brookline after allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign.
Nilton Pechejosvski, 32, of Stoneham, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 25, and charged with unlicensed operation. He was also cited for failure to stop for a stop sign.
According to a Brookline Police Department arrest report, an officer on Newton Street observed a white van approach the intersection with Goddard Avenue but didn’t stop at the stop sign. The vehicle was pulled over later on Newton Street.
When asked for a license, Pechejosvski gave the officer a Brazilian passport and the vehicle registration. A check of his name revealed a past citation from the RMW and he was arrested.
