LIVE BLOG: Mark Kerrigan Found Not Guilty Of Involuntary Manslaughter; Guilty of Assault And Battery

Day eight of the involuntary manslaughter trial is underway at Middlesex County Superior Court Wednesday.

Here are updates from day seven in the Mark Kerrigan involuntary manslaughter trial Wednesday at Middlesex County Superior Court:

@9:17 a.m.: Judge S. Jane Haggerty enters the courtroom and the jury follows shortly thereafter.

@9:18 a.m.: Court is in session.

@9:19 a.m.: Jury sent out to resume deliberations. Deliberations began Monday.

@9:20 a.m.: Court is in recess.

@11:50 a.m.: Mark Kerrigan found not guilty of involuntary manslaughter and guilty of assault and battery on a person over 60. The assault and battery charged may bring a sentence of up to 2 1/2 years in prison. Sentencing is slated for 9 a.m. Thursday.
