Car Fire and a Hit and Run on Main Street in Police Logs Dec. 19 to Dec. 22

Dec. 19  

1:12 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a trespasser on Whipple Avenue and sent the person on their way.  

10:17 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a hit and run on Main Street and North Border Road.  

3:55 p.m.: An employee at the Library called to report icy conditions in the parking lot. A few patrons slipped and fell. DPW responded. No injuries needed medical attention.  

6:29 p.m.: Officers responded to a disabled vehicle on Franklin Street and Perkins Street. AAA came to tow the car after police helped move it to a safe spot.  

Dec. 20    

12:47 a.m.: Officers responded to a car on fire near Exit 35 on 93 South.
 
1:11 a.m.: A caller called for help when their car ran out of gas on Main Street. Officers gave the man a ride to the gas station.  

4:54 p.m.: A caller reported a person walking in the road on Main Street. Officers transported the person to the Leahy Clinic.  

5:26 p.m.: A caller reported a man trying the door handles in the parking lot of the Stop and Shop.  

7:39 p.m.: A caller reported a window of a van broken by a snowball.  

Dec. 21  

9:21 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a fight on the Common. Officers found folks having a snowball fight and sent them on their way.  

Dec. 22  

12:45 a.m.: A caller reported someone trying to enter their home on Carmen Ave. The unknown person fled when the homeowner shouted, “Hello?”  

6:24 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a man who urinated on a wine display at Rapid Liquors.
