Two accidents affected traffic Tuesday morning in front of Stoneham High School.

Stoneham Fire Chief Joe Rolli said that firefighters responded to motor vehicle accidents at 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on Franklin Street.

There were no injuries at either accident, said the fire chief.

One parent reported to Patch that students experienced traffic delays due to the accidents.

I hope our rep, Jason Lewis, sees this and can use it as another example of why the proposed Weiss Farm debacl...err...project is a bad idea.

These accidents are, in fact, just the beginning. We are looking at a developer who will be sacrificing our residents and their children in the name of profit. No one was injured...what happens when there are so many more vehicles on Franklin St.? Who is responsible for lives lost or lives interrupted by disability? Clearly, a one lane road that curves around Melrose and Stoneham is destined to be a major accident waiting to happen.
