Although St Patricks Day is behind us, if you still believe in the “Luck o’ the Irish,” you’ll love this beautiful lass with teardrop green eyes and shiny black and white fur.

Teardrop has been at her new foster home, Kitty Boot Camp (KBC), since Feb. 19. She is the most confident, friendly cat that we have had the pleasure to foster. In just one day, we saw her special qualities, her gentleness, how she just loves attention, being patted and brushed and can’t stop rubbing against me as I type her story.

Teardrop did her best to survive on the streets, which she had to do for a long time before we were notified and she was rescued. She then lived for a long time at a quiet foster home with other cats. At KBC, she is getting one-on-one attention, and introduced to various new situations, like being around people, cats and dogs, being picked up, noises and getting her used to living in a home with many rooms to roam.

After just a few days, her running and hiding has greatly diminished. She is now strutting around, checking things out because she is a curious cat who seems to like to be around people.

We believe Teardrop will turn into a purring lap cat and when she is patted, she just loves to "knead the dough." She is okay with the dogs and cats she has met at KBC, although she does not seek out their company.

Teardrop is about three and half years old. She is currently on a diet and has already lost weight, with about a pound left to lose. She needs a home that will feed her two times a day of a normal portion, versus a 24-7 buffet, so she will forever keep at a healthy weight.

Teardrop keeps busy walking around the house and along with enjoying her play time when you pull out the cat wands, it won’t take long for her to get there. We must say this is the first KBC student that was rolling around, when you pay attention to her, just after a few days, typically the ones that come to KBC are afraid and need months to adjust and learn to trust.

When Teardrop looks you right in the eyes with her gorgeous green eyes, it's as though she's saying, "Love me please." If you enjoy patting, brushing a sweet confident cat, that craves attention, this girl is for you. Teardrop is a cool cat and whoever adopts her will be very lucky indeed.
