Five Things You Need to Know Today: March 8

1. Donate blood: There is an American Red Cross blood drive slated to run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 401 Edgewater Place, Wakefield. All donors will receive a free lunch pack from Cumberland Farms.

2. Need financial advice? Reading Cooperative Bank, 107 Main St., Reading is hosting a financial advice session from 6-8 p.m. and providing guests with free appetizers and beverages. To RSVP or for more information, call 781-942-5006 ext. 124.

3. Giving back: The , which consists of more than 50 churchgoers from several churches in town providing meals to people from the area, is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Stoneham, 1 Church St., Stoneham.
