Curious Comparison of Present Franklin Street Approvals vs. Weiss Farms

No one I know is presently in favor of the Weiss Farm Site plans . Most negativity appears to be on numbers of 'Automobiles' and 'Tenants' being allowed... ' In the Area'.  As I constantly drive Franklin Street from Stoneham Square and enter the 'rise' towards Dunkin Donuts on the Left, I notice across the street at a Huge Apartment Complex opposite. How many Tenants and Autos are on that land 'Approved' many years ago ? Back again , looking at Dunkin Donuts itself, how many Autos are in and out of there all day long ? As I pass Dunkin's on the left I see a very large 'Day Care Center and wonder how many people work there all day and how many vehicles are in and out of there all day long. Right Diagonally behind the Day Care is what seems to be a Huge Complex which does not even 'look right' in its place. How in the World did that get there ? ! It's huge for God's sake. What is that ?... How many tenants or people are there during the day or evening and autos count ? I ride and then I notice our Huge High School with nearly a Thousand or more students whose parents drop them off and pick them up day and night. How many Teachers, Workers, Administrators, and Parents lives are on that soil each day and how many autos and trucks are travelling down those strips ? Add in the Recreational Activities and Sports activities, leagues, etc. as well.  Just past the High School, on the right we have another large Apartment Complex up on the rise as well. How many live there as well as the Traffic Count in and out. ? Thus, how many thousands of people and autos actually either Reside or work there from Dunkin Donuts up the last Apartment Complex I just wrote of ?.. I would advise 'preparing' these numbers for 'argumentation' or 'analysis' purposes. They may even help us going forward. Numbers were sold to us as 'Good Money' for the Tax Base... The two or three lawyers who somehow obtain 99 per cent of the site plans keep those 'phrases' in their pocket for us ' willing' lambs to get all 'excited ' about in their 'weather perfect' 'Sunshine forever' site plans and I hope we've 'outgrown' those childish tactics by now.  If 490 Weiss Farm Tenants are 'not good' for us... Please also consider the same 'disdain' when we hear of 9,000 autos per day and Thousands of Tenants in the middle of a Beautiful National Park entitled Spot Pond and The Fells, on a road 10 times more treacherous than Franklin Street.  Remember also, that someday , we should require at least 'four' site plans by our two or three talented members of the Bar.. One for Sunshine, One For Rain, one for Snow, and one for Fog....and once in awhile throw in a couple of accidents....and a few hundred Fire and Police Calls as well....It also may be well that when we are counting the 'new Dollars' from the 'new areas' which will 'grow' our government services... that we calculate the 'new areas' taxes may go up only 2 1/2 per cent while the services go up at least...........6 to 8 per cent....But 'mostly' ?.. Let us keep praying that just once in our town that what was brought to us and approved on a piece of canvas... 'lasts' to become what was 'approved' on that 'canvas. How did an 'Over 55' quiet Residential , low traffic site plan on Maple Street become a 'Parking Lot' and a possible 'no tax' building' for Winchester Hospital...
As we age, we can Grow in scope, we can use experience, we can recommend, we can respect the young, or..  we can 'snore'......
