The Women of Bus 354

A Stoneham resident has a dinner party to raise money for Gathering Change, Inc. which donates money to food pantries.

Francesca Federico of Stoneham takes the bus to work everyday from Woburn into Boston. For the past 5 years she has traveled to work with several women who have all become friends. She saw information about Gathering Change, Inc., a non-profit organization that collects spare change and distributes it to local food pantries.  Because she loves to cook she felt what better way to raise funds than to have these women over and feed them. To her it was “an easy, fun reason to get together.  People are more than willing to give where it’s needed.”  And with that she invited them all over, planned her menu and asked them to start saving their spare change to bring with them for Gathering Change, Inc.

Fran considered her party “cooking for a good cause” and she and the women of bus 354 raised $313.51 that will go to support the Stoneham Food Pantries.

Thank you Fran and friends for all your support.   For more information about Gathering Change Inc., go to www.gatheringchangeinc.org
