Response to Richard Paul Rotondi

This Tom Boussy-authored entry is cross-posted from the Growing Stoneham blog: http://growingstoneham.wordpress.com/2014/05/16/response-to-richard-paul-rotondi/

It has come to my attention that R. Paul Rotondi has been circulating an email with false information. His subject line is, “Town Meeting Notes:,” and whether or not you’ve received this email, I highly encourage you to please read this post because it involves Article #12 from the May 5th, 2014 Annual Town Meeting.

Article #12 was deemed unable to move forward because the Planning Board never met. The had not met because the State government said that no one can be on the Bike Path while it is being surveyed. NO SURVEY MEANS NO MONEY FOR STONEHAM.

This is the email exchanged between Town Administrator, Dave Ragucci and Finance Board member, Dava Kilbride (Feltch) as to why there would be no need for the Finance Advisory Board to review this article.

Hi Anthony and Dave, I am working on articles 12 and 13 for the Finance
Board and am hoping you have some info for me or can lead me to the
info. I need to know how many businesses are abutters. In the meeting
Anthony said seven, but I need confirmation. I should have the business
names and the amount that will be generated by the lease extension.
These articles have not yet been voted on by the Finance Board.

Hi Dava, recently we met with the State people who informed me that
nothing and no one can be on the greenway prior to construction or we
will lose federal funding. The locations of the most of the licenses
are not on the greenway, to the best of or knowledge, but until we have
a survey done we are not absolutely sure so I will be meeting with the
abutters and informing them that we will not be renewing the linces at
this town meeting and can not until the survey is complete, which should
be done some time this summer, and we know exactly where the greenway
will be and then we can submit the articles to licnese the areas at the
October Town Metting, if all goes well. At his point I will be
recommending the BOS to IP both of the articles. Dave

As for another item in Paul’s email, it is impossible to make every Article number 1 on the list. Period.
