Run Wild 5K at the Stone Zoo Coming Up

The Stone Zoo is hosting the Run Wild 5K on October 26, staring at 8 a.m. The race begins and ends at the zoo, featuring a mix of road and wide fire trails. Runners will receive a free T-shirt and admission to the zoo.

After the race, there is a 21+ party in the zoo with brews from Sam Adams, Long Trail Brewing Company and Blue Hills Brewery. The proceeds will support the operation and the continued growth of the education programs and conservation initiatives and efforts of Zoo New England.

If you refer five friends, your run is free Races are more fun with friends and the Zoo wants to reward racers for referring friends to the Run Wild 5K. When runners register, they’ll receive a unique Sharelink, which helps the staff track your referrals. Get five referrals (paid entries) and they will refund 100 percent of the entry fee.

“In addition to the 3.1 mile race through the zoo and its surrounding area, the event will also include a cool down with local brews, music, games and prizes! This is one of the most unique 5Ks out there, you don’t want to miss it,” Erin DeVito said in a press release.
