NSTAR: Hundreds of Stoneham Homes Still Without Power Wednesday

NSTAR anticipates having power restored to all of its Stoneham customers by Thursday night.

Hundreds of NSTAR customers in Stoneham are without power Wednesday morning after Hurricane Sandy hit the area Monday, according to the energy company's website.

Of the 10,585 NSTAR customers in Stoneham, 339 (3.2 percent) were experiencing power outages as of 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a power outage map on the NSTAR website.

NSTAR anticipates having power restored to all Stoneham customers by Thursday night.

From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, power outages increased significantly from nearly three dozen homes without electricity to 325. Then, from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday, outages increased from 325 to 492. 

The power outages increased once again, jumping from 492 to 731 between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stoneham. However, the more recent data shows a slight decrease from 731 to 676 and mostly recently have been cut to 339.
