5 Things: School Auction and Wii Bowling for Seniors

Here are five things to know for Monday, Dec. 3 in Stoneham:

1. Warmer and sunny. Today in Stoneham will be sunny, with a high near 55 according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, mostly clear with a low around 41.

2. Editor returns. Editor Mark Ouellette returns to Stoneham Patch today after being off last week. Bear with him while he plows through a full email inbox and gets back up to speed.

3. Schools holiday auction starts today. The Stoneham Public Schools Foundation will kick-off today its Second Annual Holiday Auction, sponsored by Honey Dew Donuts, with the last bids closing on Saturday, Dec. 8.

4. Virtual bowling for seniors. Have fun and brush up on your bowling skills each Monday (except holidays) at the Stoneham Senior Center with Wii Bowling at 8:30 a.m.. All are welcome. The Senior Center's Wii bowling team frequently participates in tournaments with other Centers and independent living facilities in the area.

5. Historical Commission meets. The Stoneham Historical Commission meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the Stoneham Public Library. Among the items on the agenda are the commission's website, house marker program and Community Preservation Act.
