On Thursday morning, the Shanahan team and I met with two technical experts from a company called Koncerted. Koncerted is a technology services company with years of experience in designing, installing, and programming high-end audio, video, heating, lighting, and computer systems across New England or “Smart Homes.”
You would think that when buying a new home, technology systems are the last thing from our brains but they are by far, the most important! In fact, a recent survey of luxury homebuyers by Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate found that when it comes to their dream home, a majority (66%) of luxury homebuyers surveyed said a “smart” home is more important to them than a “green” home. When house hunting, 87 percent of luxury homebuyers surveyed would not consider living in a home that isn’t tech-friendly.
There are so many different types of technology in homes today from heating systems, lighting, security systems, video, etc. It can be scary when looking or buying a home with fancy technology systems throughout. Koncerted offers a variety of programs to help individuals integrate and educate.
Koncerted offers a great training service where they will come to the source of the problem (your home) and educate you on your technology. There are millions of different things we can do on our technology devices and according to Koncerted, about 10% of people admit they don’t know how to work half of them. Many people, including myself, will put up a shield with our technology devices when we can’t figure them out… Koncerted helps demystify that. You can call them up and say “I have a problem,” “I need help”… Koncerted will solve it.
When listening to them speak, I really enjoyed their commitment to customer service. Like myself, they believe in personal relationships and would never leave a customer stranded. There are many service companies out in the world that are looking for one thing… money. We have shifted gears a little and lost touch with forming relationships, not Better Homes And Gardens The Shanahan Group and not Koncerted!
Koncerted will come into your new home and assess your technical and digital health. They will walk both you and your buyer agent through the process and discuss things that may need to be done.
