U-Me Restaurant & Lounge has closed its doors to customers.

Stoneham Patch recently visited U-Me, located at 19 Franklin St., on multiple days during normal business hours, but the restaurant was shuttered. Mail was found either in front of the door or stuffed by the door handle.

A call to U-Me revealed that the restaurant has closed for good.

"Hello, U-Me Restaurant business has now closed. Thank you for your patronage," says a man in a message left on the restaurant's phone line. "A new restaurant owner will be taking over in a few months."

Yelp! also has the business listed as closed.

A voicemail was left at the restaurant, but Stoneham Patch has not received a response yet. We will post an update if the owners contact us.

It is unclear why the restaurant shuttered, and we have not confirmed who the new owners will be. The exact date of U-Me's closure is also unknown.
