Stoneham Couple to Open Avon Beauty Center in North Reading

Cavanaugh studied esthetics at Elizabeth Grady and has worked for Avon in some capacity for about 20 years. Five years ago, she opened the Avon Beauty Center in Wakefield and decided to move to North Reading this year for the location.

"We liked the visibility of it," she said.  

If you are looking at Advanced Photo, the Avon Beauty Center will open in the space to the right of it.

She is shooting for a Sept. 1 opening and recently started painting inside, she said. The store will carry most of the Avon line, including makeup, skin care, body products and perfume, but if you'd like to purchase something that you can't find in stock simply order it from the catalog and pick it up in store. The charge for that is only 75 cents.

The store will stock other non-Avon items including glycerin soaps from Primal Elements, Burts Bees products, jewelry, gift-able items and more. She also has Woodwick candles, a customer favorite since "they crackle when they burn."

Customers can look forward to monthly sales and 20 percent off the first day the store is open.

"We are very excited to be coming to North Reading," she said.

She plans to have a grand opening event, but is still unsure of the date. Check in with us for details.
