Showcase Cinemas Woburn has completed phase one of its theatre renovation project, which includes seat upgrades in the 14 auditoriums and new flooring.
Showcase Cinemas is also expanding its menu options and redesigning its concession stand.
The auditoriums now include stadium seating with powered reclining plush premium armchairs. The audio system has been undated to Dolby 7.1 Surround and the auditoriums will have closed captioning glasses and descriptive narrative headsets.
Theatergoers will be able to reserve seats in advance. They will also be able to skip lines and pick up tickets via an automated box office.
“Our Woburn location is a staple in the local community, and has been for more than 40 years,” said Amber Stepper, vice president, marketing & advertising, National Amusements. “It is important for us to continuously provide our guests with the best movie-going experience possible. Showcase Cinemas Woburn now features top-of-the-line amenities aimed to please our loyal guests and invites them to experience the best that our industry has to offer.”
Phase two is ongoing and will feature a new lobby, a new private party room for groups and social events, a full bar and a gourmet coffee station. Construction for phase two should be completed by the end of July.
