Its a shame the Cafe's website is non-existent. ariellesstoneham.com goes to domain parking site. Also, no accusations here, but this kind of post requires disclosure and transparency. Does Arielle's pay for the directory listing? Is Arielle's an advertiser on Patch? Is this a paid for article?

Hi Witold, All business directories on the Stoneham Patch website are free of charge to business owners. They can pay to upgrade their listings, but Arielle's Cafe & Pizzeria is just a basic/free listing. Arielle's isn't an advertiser and this is not a paid for article. We would note that in the article like we do with anything else that requires an "Editor's note." The purpose of the article is simple: Arielle's wants customers to leave reviews on their Stoneham Patch directory listing, and we're just letting folks know that they have the ability to leave reviews and rate businesses, such as Arielle's, on a 1-5 star scale that they might not know they can do on the site. I hope that answers your questions. Thanks.

Hi Mark, Thanks for the reply and clarification. I'm glad that this is the case, and I also hope people read your comment. It would be unfair to Arielle's if your question comes across as an advertorial. As a resident of Stoneham, I'm very glad that Stoneham Patch exists, is well updated and curated, and is bringing community properties to the forefront. As compared to WickedLocal, who coincidentally (and embarrassingly) has a Stoneham history page which links to a defunct GEOCITIES site, Patch seems to keep things current. I think its a bigger debate about community newspapers, and how they relate to a town's identity (or lack there of). What Stoneham want to be (locally) know for, and how does that message get promulgated. Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox.

One of the best ways to get a feel for a given town,is to look at it's "Play-Grounds" & parks.Stoneham parks & playgrounds are wretched, and covered with dog feces.Does the town have an animal control officer, and if so what are its' functions? If there is,in fact,an animal control officer....it appears to be a "NO SHOW" job.
