Michaels’ craft store is planning a large grand opening for its Stoneham store including giveaways and prizes.
The store will open at Redstone Shopping Center at 119 Main St. on March 23 at 10 a.m. A special ribbon cutting will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Heather Byrd, a spokeswoman for Michaels, said Michaels will be giving away more than $1,000 in gift cards and prizes hourly throughout the day.
There will even be a Plinko prize board with jewelry, art supplies, stickers and other items. Byrd noted that attendees can also photograph themselves at the Michaels photo booth and share pictures on social media using the hashtags #getcrafty #Stoneham.
Free in-store craft demos will be held the entire first week from 6 to 8 p.m. and customers can enter to win a gift basket nightly. There will also be Saturday kids’ craft events for $2.
