Local Company Plans to Release $279K Flying Car in 2016

Woburn-based Terrafugia has been working on creating a flying car for eight years and the company hopes their dream will soon take flight.

Boston Business Journal said the company has been working on two cars, including one called the Transition that could fly at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Terrafugia wants to release the first Transition to the public in mid-2016.

The company said it already has 100 customers who pre-ordered the Transition for $279,000 a piece.
