Two Eastern black-and-white colobus monkeys were born at the Stone Zoo recently, a result of the addition of a pair of young females and one male that allowed for breeding.

The births mark the species' first successful birth at the Stone Zoo in 25 years, according to a boston.com report.

The two baby monkeys, which have not yet been named, were on display for the first time last week.

“The births of the colobus monkeys present a wonderful opportunity for visitors to not only learn more about these fascinating animals, but to watch the babies grow up,” Zoo New England President John Linehan said in a press statement.
