The human body wants to be balanced and healthy.  A person needs to proactively balance out the body against the downsides of whatever lifestyle they have.  Traditional martial arts uses physical movements as a medicine or as physical therapy, as it were, to bring strength to the physical body including bones, muscles, the immune system and organ health.

High level martial practitioners get better with age.  The easiest evidence to understand is seeing the quality of their health and vitality compared by the average individual.

In the context of the current health care system in the United States, you can either pay now by actively improving your physical health and being pain-free or you can pay later in the form of medications and surgery.

Poor quality of life adds stress to your mental health, your job, your finances and your relationships.  High quality of life, pain-free, allows you to have a meaningful, enjoyable life where you can do anything you want without restrictions.
