Rabbi G’s world instead is mainly about empowerment, teaching kids how to manage pain associated with their illness, be it from the disease itself or medical treatments. Ideally, Goldberg contends, cancer-stricken kids who learn to manage their pain also enable their bodies to heal, better position themselves one day possibly to overcome the cancer, return to a full and active life, one that may or may not include the martial arts.”

““We use martial arts as a hook,’’ said Goldberg, reflecting on a sport often associated with action movies and super heroes. “We tell them that the greatest power of all is the light inside yourself. The real martial arts is what takes place inside your mind . . . and inside your heart.’’”

Training your mind to have control over your body has a depth that more people are starting to understand better, but the level to which it goes is almost unfathomably deep and profound.

Training your mind to be stronger than the body, whether responding to stress, illness or pain, is challenging but it’s but a fairly beginning level of martial arts application.

As a professional martial arts instructor, I have an opportunity to help pass on line of a martial arts training that allows the individual to control the things that 98% believe aren’t even within the realm of possibility.  It’s okay that most don’t believe because the levels of desire, effort and strength needed to have that power are exceptional.

With great power comes great responsibility and most are in such conflict they barely control their life based on their satisfaction with their work, finances, relationships and ability to obtain their goals.

However, everyone desires on some level to have the ability to control all parts of their life.

The secrets to having this ability are out there for the person who seeks them out.
