PAWS (Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society) is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal welfare organization serving several communities north of Boston.
Hi everyone. My name is Fudgecicle, but you can call me Fudge, for short. As you can see, I am not a good speller. But I think I got my name because I am all brown like the frozen treat called a fudgesicle. Or maybe it was because I am extremely sweet, if a bit fuzzy. I am also quite unique with my medium-length, fine hair with no undercoat. You will be amazed by how soft and silky I am.
Besides my beauty (and let’s not discount that), I am a very easy kitty to have around. I can be initially cautious, and will most likely hide in a new environment or around new people. But you can pull me out of my hiding spot and I won’t even complain. Once I feel safe (give me ten or so minutes), I will be ready to meet you and show you my playful and loving purrsonality.
As for playtime, I will chase anything: laser pointer, jingly balls, dangly strings, anything and everything. When we are done playing, pat your lap and I will come over to be petted. I do enjoy a nice cuddle and I have a great purr that I will not hold that back when we are together. Since I am young, you will find that I won’t be still for too long. It is back to playing, or over to the window to watch the world. I also like to perch in a high place so I can just hang out and watch all the goings on. But, I expect that once we get to know each other, I will be at your side as a constant companion.
Don’t I sound like the absolute perfect cat? I am sweet, fun, gentle and will be your loyal friend. I never hiss, bite, scratch, or complain about anything. My only request is that I be your one and only. I just do not like other cats and I have let the felines in my foster home know it, without question. Let me reassure you, however, you will love me so much that you will never need another cat. And unlike a real fudgesicle, I won’t melt away. I am going to stay around for a long time.
Now, that doesn’t mean you should dawdle. Call PAWS today so we can meet. Remember, I am Fudge, your dream treat!
