Five things to know today, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013:

1. A cold wind blows. Partly sunny today in Stoneham, with a high near 33 according to the National Weather Service. Northwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Tonight, mostly clear, with a low around 25. Northwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

3. Senior Chorus and Tambourine Band. The Silver Notes Chorus rehearses every Thursday (except holidays) at 9:30 a.m. at the Stoneham Senior Center. The Geri-Jingles Tambourine Band rehearses immediately after. The groups perform at various Stoneham Senior Center events including the holiday party, at other events around the community, at fundraising events, and at area senior centers and retirement homes. 4. Overeaters Anonymous. This support group meets Thursdays at 6 p.m. at the Stoneham Senior Center.
