Stoneham Savings-Salem Five Grants $1000 to Cooperative Elder Services

Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. (CESI) recently received a $1,000 grant from the Stoneham Savings – Salem Five Charitable Foundation.  CESI of Burlington will use the grant to supplement the cost of nutritious meals for low-income elders who live in Stoneham, Burlington, Woburn, Billerica, and Wilmington.  The Nutrition Program is very successful thanks to the generosity of Stoneham Savings-Salem Five, and other local banks.

CESI is a non-profit Adult Day Health organization based in Lexington, with centers located in Arlington, Burlington, Milton, Groton and Concord.  CESI provides a welcoming day-time environment for local seniors, with nursing care, nutrition, socialization with peers, therapeutic activities, social services, caregiver support and round-trip transportation offered throughout the week.  The mission of CESI is to delay or prevent nursing home placement by promoting health and independence, and enhancing the quality of life for elders living in the community.  For more information, please call 781-270-5751 or visit www.elderdayservices.com
