Free oral, head, neck cancer screening

Tobacco including smokeless tobacco and alcohol use are the highest risk factors for head and neck cancers. People who use both tobacco and alcohol are at a greater risk than those who use each separately. Over the past decade an increasing number of young non-smokers have developed mouth and throat cancer associated with the Human Papiloma Virus (HPV).

Join Hallmark Health System (HHS) for a free oral, head and neck cancer screening on Thursday, Aug. 22, 5 to 7 p.m., at the HHS CHEM Center for Radiation Oncology located at 48 Montvale Ave. in Stoneham. Participants will be evaluated by HHS physicians and have their questions and concerns addressed.
