Clifford Dives into Reading in Stoneham

The UFund Start U Reading program came to the Stoneham Public Library Wednesday April 9 bringing a special guest – Clifford! Children were treated to a special story time as they read a book about what they could be when they grew up. Children were encouraged to open their imaginations and act out becoming race car drivers while others took the stage as scuba divers and astronauts. All the children lit up as they became rock stars and sang "Let it Go". Program director Sherri Galego demonstrated how it's important to encourage curiosity and engage learning at this young age. After the book was read, children enjoyed a special visit with Clifford!

The U.Fund Start U. Reading Series is one of MEFA’s statewide early college planning initiatives designed to introduce young students’ to the joy of reading and literacy through interdisciplinary activities.  Participants had an opportunity to meet Clifford, have their photo taken, and receive a goody bag filled with materials and a brand new book.
