Blossoms at the Beebe Tickets Now Available

Tickets are now available for the 7th annual Blossoms at the Beebe, a flower show, gala and auction to benefit the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library and the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce. The Saturday evening, adult-only event will be held on April 26th from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Library, 345 Main Street. Proceeds from the event will help sustain important programs at the Beebe Library as well as community projects sponsored by the Wakefield Area Chamber of Commerce. This year’s event will feature a Kentucky Derby theme and will include The Run for the Roses - a flower show featuring the talents of regional, professional, and amateur florists; special musical entertainment on both levels; gourmet hors d'oeuvres from Laurie's 9:09 and Zuzu's; specialty Derby cocktails, a silent auction; and a casino room. The North Avenue Band will provide dance music and Betty’s Bounce will entertain on the lower level. A cash bar will also be available. VIP members will have the opportunity to be entertained by Jim Colliton, local comedian. Many local businesses have pledged their support for the event as sponsors, including The Savings Bank, Preakness Sponsor; and Kentucky Derby Sponsors Hobbs Management, Wakefield Co-operative Bank, and Eastern Bank. Tickets are $35 per person in advance and can be purchased at the Library or online at www.blossomsatbeebe.com. Tickets will also be available for $40 at the door. All who attend the Saturday evening event must be 21 years of age or older. For additional information about the event, including sponsorship opportunities, visit the website, www.blossomsatbeebe.com, or call 781-245-0741.
