The Greenway is Moving Full Steam Ahead!
The Greenway is moving forward and will become a reality soon.
Hello Stoneham! I have received a few questions about the status of the Greenway project lately. The project is going full steam ahead! In preparation for town meeting, I checked in with the Town Engineer in Winchester, lead town in the project, and she let me know that everything is going well. All three towns also met with MassDOT a few weeks ago and there were no road blocks. The funds will be released as planned this summer and put out to bid this fall/winter. Construction should proceed in 2015 and end in 2016. It's exciting the Greenway is becoming a reality!
