Stoneham Seniors to Get Haircuts at Local Barber Shop

Here are five things to know for Tuesday, July 23 in Stoneham:

1. Mop chops: Are you a senior in need of a haircut? If so, head to Stoneham Senior Center, as they will be shuttling a group of seniors to The Men's Room where they will be giving haircuts for $9 per person at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the senior center website. The senior center van will leave at 9:45 a.m., according to the site. Seniors can sign up at the front desk or by calling 781-438-1157.

2. Cook it up: Atria Senior Living will be giving a cooking demonstration and food sampling at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Stoneham Senior Center, according to the senior center website.

3. Meeting time: The Disability Commission Committee is slated to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall in the second flood Conference Room, according to the town website.

4. Storytime, kiddos! Stoneham Public Library will be hosting a musical storytime from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Marcy Room, according to the library website. The program is geared toward children ages two-plus, the site notes.

5. Take a trip down under: From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Stone Zoo will be featuring koalas, wallabies and more as part of its Aussie Adventure summer program, according to the zoo website.
