Six local houses of worship will offer a very special Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at 7:00 p.m.

Hosted by St. Patrick Parish in Stoneham, Rev. Edwin Pease, interim minister at All Saints Episcopal Church, will be preaching as the service brings together the spirit of faith, giving, thankfulness, and community that defines Stoneham and surrounding cities and towns.  A number of clergy from Stoneham will also be involved in service.

The Stoneham churches are:  All Saints Episcopal Church, First Baptist Church, First Congregational Church in Stoneham, St. Patrick Parish, and Stoneham Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church. In addition, the Temple Shir Tikva in Winchester will be participating. The service will also feature hymns and the talents of a joint choir assembled for this special time of worship.  All proceeds from the goodwill offering will benefit the Stoneham Alliance Against Violence.

Prior to the Interfaith Service, all are welcome to attend the weekly free Community Dinner which is hosted by the First Congregational Church in Stoneham at 5:30 pm.

Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service in the Parish Hall at St. Patrick’s.

Saint Patrick Parish is a Roman Catholic institution that strives to further the mission of Jesus Christ.  The expansive historic church hosts several different activities, including baptisms, confessions, daily masses, and Recitations of the Rosary in the lower church. The statues, various architectural elements and votive candles in the main lobby add to the atmosphere for those attending services on the church grounds.
