[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Are you ready for some pure kitten energy? Well, we have it, packed into these adorable kittens. Saved just in time, from living a life outside, they are more than ready for their forever homes. And while they wait, they are stirring up lots of fun adventures with their very high energy level, scampering all around. At about eight months young, these shiny black beauties are well named – TNT, we have T (male) and NT (female). These busy siblings are extremely affectionate (lapcats, snugglers, purrers) are very …
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] I’m Toby, a handsome young tabby playboy, about a year old and stunning enough for a cat magazine, with my gray soft fur and streaks of black. I just love to play and can often be heard chasing a rubber ball or seen soaring high after a wand toy. Take the time to play with me and I will love you even more. I might have a touch of coon cat in me, with my fluffy tail and furry ears and paw pads. I enjoy being picked up and a good ear scratching. Not the shy type, I will greet anyone who visits, rubbing up against …
[Editor's note: The following information derives from Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Chapel was found in a church manger back in December of 2011. This sweet girl is still with us, and needs a home for the holidays. A homeless cat and kittens, seeking shelter in a manger on a cold winter night: this is Chapel's Christmas story. The kittens found a home, however Chapel still lingers in foster care, one year later. With her black silky fur and stunning golden eyes, she is a little over two years old, a mix of Siamese in her. Chapel went into a quiet foster home, one room with other cats that came …
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Life has many different chapters for us all. We can only guess the first few of Tolstoy’s life. Named after his foster mom’s favorite writer, Leo Tolstoy, both share a large stock frame and wise ways. The chapter we do know: It took four long months of feeding and gaining trust to trap this wise cat. Filthy and matted, you could feel each rib on his scrawny frame. Turn the page, and now this gorgeous Maine coon cat mix, with his black, gray and white soft fur, is close to his ideal weight. Believed to be about two…
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Introducing Cher. “Do you believe in life after love?” Well, Cher knew love from humans, but then was cast outside when her owner moved. While in and out of different foster homes, she now resides in a place that can offer her space to roam, trim down her figure and blossom her into a shining star. And shining she is, showing off her sweet loving and gentle ways. At first, she hid under the bed, but in a short time, she showed just how affectionate she is, as she loves to sleep with her foster mom and enjoys back …
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Ahoy there! Come aboard and meet our pirate kittens, Captain and Morgan. Upon laying eyes on them, you might want to shout, “Well shiver me timbers!” because together, these adorable mates share a pair of eyes. That’s right, Captain has the left one and his sister, the right one. However, they can run with the best of them, with their amusing kitten energy. Before saved, both lived a harsh outside life, constant pain from infected eyes. Because someone spotted them and took action, they became the lucky ones. Both…
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Kitten season is here and we are scrambling to keep up with phone calls about momma cats giving birth to their babies outside. To try and rescue these innocent creatures, it takes an enormous amount of time and money. It’s a heartwrenching endeavor, to those who spend countless days and nights trying to save them from a tough life of a feral, reproducing over and over. All this suffering and havoc can all stop, if only people would spay/neuter their cats. We do our best. Kittens are quickly adopted, but what about…
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] We were made aware of our furry friend Amigo over a year ago. He and his mom were being fed by a kind man who built an outdoor shelter and feeding station for them. Each day he would journey into the woods to check on them. One morning he found only Amigo, acting distraught. With no sign of the mom, he feared the worst since there were coyotes in the area. We were contacted and once trapped, Amigo was fully vetted and brought to a foster home, where he still remains, long overdue for his own home. Why is this …
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue (LOLCR).] Somewhere over the rainbow, you'll find a cat by the same name. Rainbow is a striking, petite gal with a stunning multi-colored body and beautiful emerald eyes to match. Rainbow was discovered, scared and confused in the middle of a busy intersection. A LOLCR volunteer was contacted, she left work and amazingly this cat was still there, didn’t run away when approached. Her trusting, people friendly personality made this an easy rescue. At about one year old, Rainbow has a medium energy level, splitting her…
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Transit is ready to travel to a loving home. This lover boy is about two years old and really struggled outside, trying to survive the winter and near starvation. Thankfully, he stumbled upon a woman that took notice and started feeding him. We nearly froze ourselves, waiting night after night to capture him. Transit’s physical and personality traits make us believe he is an Egyptian Mau mix. He is a confident and striking boy, with his defined tiger like stripes and spots. His coloring is gray, black and white, …
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Candy. Just the word can elicit sweet childhood memories: a mouthful of gumballs, un-wrapping your favorite chocolate bar, zipping you back to an easier time.  Our sweet Candy girl had an easier life until her owner became ill and the family decided to give up their two young cats (Candy’s less than 18 months old). However, they kept their kitten. Candy is waiting to fill your world with sweet new memories. So friendly and affectionate, she just wants to be close. Candy is stunning; with her white diamond face, …

[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Two is better than one. That's what OC and Meg think. This brother sister duo have been together for seven years. They lived with their elderly owners since they were kittens, but now must find a new home. Their first foster mom said, “I found their personalities to be quite sweet. They are quiet and very well mannered and both adapted to their new surroundings quickly. Both cats are playful and love to be brushed.” Meg is pure white and OC is mostly white with brown on his tail and his face. Unique markings set …
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] A cat named after a car? Well, it all started with a Lots of Love Cat Rescue canister. A pet store client jotted down our number and called to say she knows of kittens and a mom living in an old abandoned VW bug. As we went to scope out the situation, leaning over a fence to peer into the car’s dusty windows, three adorable kittens stared back, with shy but curious faces. Because this kind family was feeding them, the kittens were not totally freaked over the sight of humans. Once we trapped mom and her kittens, …
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Shelly is a tabby/bengal mix with sweet golde-colored eyes and an endearing personality that will win you over when you meet her. She is about 10 months old, a short-haired girl with chocolate and black tiger stripes, white bib and matching white paws. She was born on the streets and during the winter, a kind soul spotted two kittens scrounging around in the back of an office building. After many phone calls, she was able to find someone that would trap, neuter and then release, since they were feral. However, …
[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] What do Mila Kunis, David Bowie and Jane Seymour have in common with Mystic the cat? They all have enchanting different colored eyes! The name Mystic means magical which is the purrfect description for the delicate beauty that she is. Only 10 months old, Mystic is friendly, playful and very attentive. She is an all-white angora mix with one gold eye and one that's blue. Most likely she will need to be an only cat since she seems to be less than interested in other cats, as she voices her growl in their company. …
[Editor's note: The following information derives from Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Thelma is a young girl looking to put a rocky past behind her. A fresh start is all this beauty needs. She is one lucky kitten who has survived a life of starvation, seeking food and shelter among a bunch of boulders. When she and her siblings were found in the rocks, they were scared, cold and most of all, very hungry. It was no life for a kitten. Thankfully a kind person rescued them from their rocky spot and found them a foster home with us, which provides them with the food, warmth and safety they needed. …
[Editor's note: The following information was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] Miss Angel is one of the most affectionate cats we've had the pleasure of fostering. We believe she is around six years old. Angel was found wandering in a backyard, starving to death. When a kind soul found her, she came screaming to them. She desperately wanted to be rescued. Angel is a very sweet girl, she would be a great companion for someone. She just wants your company, wanting to sit beside you when you're watching TV, or, while reading a book she will be a purring lap cat. She doesn't want to worry …

[Editor's note: The following column was submitted by Lots of Love Cat Rescue.] “Who’s on first?” is a famous baseball line from the comedy duo of Abbott & Costello. Sadly enough, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello are long gone, but this entertaining feline duo will keep you laughing and smiling. This look-alike pair are not related, but they have formed an instant bond. They were abandoned on the streets and met each other for the first time at their foster home. Within minutes of arrival, they both settled right in, like they always lived there.   Their slapstick comedy show mixes lots of play …
