A knife-wielding man allegedly tried to rob the Dunkin' Donuts at 2 Lynn Fells Parkway Thursday, according to police. The same man was also spotted at a Dunkin' Donuts on Franklin Street shortly before the attempted armed robbery.
Stoneham detectives are looking for a man who appeared in two Dunkin' Donuts—the second of which he attempted to rob at knifepoint—in Stoneham Thursday, according to police. At 3:54 p.m., police responded to the Dunkin' Donuts on Franklin Street after an employee called about a suspicious man in the store. "The employee in the store thought they recognized him from a past robbery," said Lieutenant Jim McIntyre. "He became nervous and ended up leaving the store. Because of him going into the store the (patrol) units started checking other Dunkin' Donuts and convenience stores to keep an eye out and give them a heads up that he was out and about." I can't believe Stop n Shop won over Market Duniya or any of the other smaller shops around. We really need someplace new though. I'd love to see a Trader Joe's in Malden. Save me the weekly trip down the hell that is Route 1 to Saugus. more ›
