Two Emerson graduates, Darcie Champagne and Mark Linehan, will star in a new musical comedy, "Lumberjacks in Love," kicking off Stoneham Theatre's 13th season on Sept. 13.

Champagne, a 2000 graduate, was recently seen in Stoneham's production of "The Full Monty." Linehan, a 2007 graduate, has been seen in several Stoneham productions, including "The Good War" and "42nd Street." Both graduated from Emerson with Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. 

"Lumberjacks in Love" is the tale of five burly bachelors, 200 miles from the nearest woman...or so they think. When Minnesota Slim (Linehan) accidentally orders himself a mail order bride, their simple, shanty lives turn upside down.  With bluegrass and folk music played on homespun instruments by the actors themselves, this Boston premiere from the creators of Season 7 favorite, "Guys on Ice," is sure to be a whole lot of fun!

"Lumberjacks in Love" runs from Sept. 13-30.
