POLICE LOG: Two Stoneham Schools Vandalized

At 8:47 a.m. July 9, Stoneham police responded to for a report of vandalism. The caller reported broken windows at the school. Police to file a report. A little more than an hour later at 10 a.m., police were called to on a report of vandalism. The caller reported a gym window was broken. Custodians didn't notice that the window had been broken. Pictures were taken of the damage. Police to file a report.

@7:24 a.m.: Police called to Bear Hill Road for a report of a box alarm. DPW reported a contractor struck a two-inch gas main in the street. Firefighters reported low pressure two-inch line struck. The contractor plugged the line, and National Grid responded to the scene. Ladder 1 was standing by. No injuries reported.

@8:16 a.m.: Police responded to Main Street for a report of a single-car crash. No tow or injuries reported.

@12:23 p.m.: Police called to Drummond Road on a report of a larceny. The caller reported their medication was stolen. Police to file a report.

@8:02 p.m.: Police responded to Franklin Place for a report of a scam. The caller reported that he received three calls during the week regarding a lottery he didn't play. He knows the calls are fraudulent and set up a meeting with them on July 11. A dispatcher told the caller to contact police immediately if someone showed up at his house. Detectives were emailed about the case.
