POLICE LOG: Two Men Arrested at Stop & Shop on Drug Charges

Men from Dorchester and Stoneham are facing drug possession charges after being arrested at the grocery store May 8.

At 9:41 p.m. May 8, Stoneham police responded to Stop & Shop Supermarket on Main Street to check on two suspicious individuals. Abdul Fofanah, 20, of 383 William St., Stoneham, and Leander Ortega, 20, of 63 Westwind Road, Dorchester, were arrested and charged with possession to distribute a class D drug, marijuana, and conspiracy to violate drug law.

@12:31 p.m.: Police called to Main Street for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident. A truck was making a delivery to Furniture World and backed into a parked minivan. No injuries or tows reported.

@3:25 p.m.: Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street. No injuries or tows reported.

@4:13 p.m.: Police called to the area of Flint Avenue and Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One person was transported to Winchester Hospital.

@10:32 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Main and North Streets. Paul Capobianco, 48, of 22 Mount Pleasant St., Woburn, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor and a miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation.

@8:15 a.m.: Police respond to Summer Street for a report of a road hazard. The caller reports that their neighbor has put five wine barrels in front of their property to stop people from parking there. Officer left business card with note for owner to call them. Barrels can't be there.

@7:06 p.m.: Police called to Richardson Road for a fire investigation of carbon monoxide detector. Car 2 detected a reading and notified residents. A short time later there was a zero reading while the gas company was on scene.
