How to Help Stoneham's Bombing Victims

Charity accounts have been set up, and Stoneham businesses are rallying to support those from town injured in Monday's terrorist attack.

Stoneham natives and current residents were injured in the terrorist bombing that struck the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Charity Funds

A charity account has been set up at Stoneham Bank, according to Stoneham TV. Those donations can be dropped off at the bank or mailed to:

Family members and friends have confirmed that one of the Stoneham victims is Marc Fucarile, the brother of a Stoneham Police officer. Marc was severely injured and remains at Massachusetts General Hospital. The Stoneham Police Department has set up a fund for him at the Stoneham Municipal Credit Union. Donations can be mailed or delivered in person:

Another fund has been created for this victim by his cousins and can be accessed at this website.

Another fund has been set up for three of the victims, according to this Facebook Page. Funds can be dropped off at Stoneham Bank or mailed to:

'Stoneham Strong' Event on Friday, April 26

Join Stoneham Public Schools at the High School football field on . for an evening of community building and fundraising. All proceeds from the event will go to the Stoneham Marathon Victims Fund c/o Stoneham Bank. There will be food, raffles, music, hair extensions, and you can get your picture with the Stoneham Spartan Mascot. $2 general admission. For questions or for more information call Shelly MacNeill at 781-438-1841 or email at macneill616@gmail.com.

 

Businesses Offer Support 

All four Dockside Restaurant locations will be holding a benefit on Sunday, April 21 from 1-8 p.m. to donate proceeds in support of those impacted by the bombing. According to the Dockside, two of the regular customers at the Wakefield restaurant were severely injured during the attack. All proceeds and raffle money will go directly to the StonehamBank fund. 

Primp at Tiffany's said on its Facebook Page it will host a cut-a-thon to support the families of the victims on Monday, April 29. All of the proceeds from each $20 haircut will be donated. More details to come.

The Watchmaker in Stoneham Square is also donating all proceeds from battery replacement services to the victims from now until the end of April. 

A Washington, D.C. catering company has also offered its support to the Stoneham community. "For reasons that would take too much time to explain, Monday’s tragic events at the Boston Marathon touched a personal nerve with our little company," said Danny Boylen at Cogito Ergo Sauté in DC. For the rest of April, all proceeds from CES' gift certificates will benefit the Stoneham Marathon Victims Fund at Stoneham Bank.

Finally, those who want to give blood in the coming days can call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit http://www.redcrossblood.org/ make-donation to schedule an appointment.
