Five Things: Adopt a Cat, Hike the Fells, Newsletters, Social Media and Traffic Updates

Scope out the "Patch Facts" column for Feb. 4.

1. Newsletters anyone? Stoneham Patch offers four newsletters to our readers, including daily, weekly and breaking news ones as well as one for Patch Deals.

2. Take a hike: Up for wandering the southern portion of the Middlesex Fells Reservation with hike leader Dan Sumorok? If so, the hike may include taking the Skyline, Reservoir, and Cross Fells trails. The end of the walk includes a visit to Pine Hil and Wright's Tower, where the view includes Boston, Medford and the Blue Hills. For those interested in participating in the walk, make sure to bring at least a liter of water and rugged hiking boots and meet the group at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bellevue Pond parking area, 68 South Border Road, Medford.

3. Stay informed: Need to know what's going on in the Stoneham community beyond what the Stoneham Patch website has to offer? Then you'll want to "like" our Facebook page and "follow" our Twitter account for other forms of content.

4. Plan your route: Find current gas prices and traffic updates for the Stoneham area in our "Traffic & Gas" section.

5. Adopt a cat: Check out Stoneham Patch Sunday at 2 p.m. to see the latest "Lots of Love Cat Rescue's Pet of the Week" column.
