Stoneham resident Marc Fucarile, the last Boston Marathon bombing victim being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital, left the hospital on Wednesday, according to a Boston Herald report.

Fucarile, 34, lost his right leg during the second explosion at the April 15 marathon, and while it may be improving there are no guarantees his left leg will be saved, according to the report.

Fucarile and a group of friends from Stoneham were gathered at the finish line to support a friend in the race, according to the report. Two of those friends, brothers Paul and J.P. Norden, also lost one leg each in the bombing, reads the report.

Fucarile, who sustained burns and severe shrapnel wounds, including a piece of metal in his heart, has undergone multiple surgeries to repair fractures in his left leg and foot, according to the report.

"Nothing is guaranteed, and I know that," he told the Herald. "But (the doctors) said it looks promising. It's looking good, it's doing what they want it to do and now it's pretty much going to be on my end in rehab."
