Father Carlos Keen will be at St. Patrick Parish the weekend of September 29-30 for the annual Sponsor a Child in Peru program.  The parish has supported the Saint Peter Apostle Pastoral Center in San Bartolo, Lima, Peru for many years and is its main benefactor.  Last year, 230 students were sponsored by Saint Patrick parishioners!     The mission of the Center is to break the vicious cycle of poverty that exists in San Bartolo by educating poor children and young people in a Catholic environment giving them hope for a better future.  Your support provides the opportunity for children to participate in classes such as cooking, sewing, computers, music, English, catechesis, mathematics, etc.  Youth and adults from Stoneham and surrounding communities have visited the center and worked with the children while on mission trips sponsored by St. Patrick Youth Group.                                                     Members of the Mission Team will be available after each Mass to accept renewals and new sponsorships.  The Mass schedule is 4 pm on Saturday the 29th and 8 am, 10 am, 12 noon and 6 pm on Sunday the 30th.  For further information, call Diane McCarthy at 781-438-6852.
