George Georgountzos is Running for Massachusetts State Rep. Post
[Editor's note: The following information derives from a press statement issued by State Rep. candidate George Georgountzos.]
A large crowd of enthusiastic supporters for George Georgountzos gathered at Lucia Ristorante & Bar in Winchester on March 31, for his campaign kick-off event for Massachusetts State Representative of the 31st Middlesex District, according to a press statement issued by the candidate's office.
The district includes all of Stoneham as well as all of Winchester due to recent state redistricting. Residents from both communities heard George speak about his commitment to bringing balance, accountability and transparency to Beacon Hill.
Charlie Baker, former candidate for Governor of Massachusetts, was present to introduce George and to emphasize the need for balance in the state’s government. Additionally, U.S. Congress candidates Jeff Semon and Frank Addivinola, along with candidate for the Massachusetts State Senate Sandi Martinez, were among Georgountzos' supporters.
Georgountzos spoke to a roomful of guests about his priorities of common sense values, including fiscal responsibility, low taxes, a healthy business climate that encourages economic growth, entrepreneurship and jobs for “Bay Staters,” all within the framework of small government that respects the individual rights of its citizens.
Georgountzos will soon begin his walking tour of the district to reach out to folks in both Winchester and Stoneham.
